Office 2010 RTM in April 2010

After I told you that Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer announced the release of Office 2010 in a couple of months, Russian website Wzor offers somewhat of a confirmation. It appears that the final assemblies of Office 2010 will be wrapped up in April 2010, which could mean that the next version of the productivity suite will be released to manufacturing in just a couple of months as Ballmer said in the first place.

There’s no telling when Microsoft plans to offer Office 2010 for purchase, but taking into consideration the info from Ballmer and Wzor, at least the RTM seems to be set sometime in March-April 2010 timeframe.
