SkyDrive Stores 3,641.8 TB of Data

Microsoft is offering 25 GB of free storage space per each Windows Live account with SkyDrive, and the volume of content stored by customers is already quite consistent.


No less than 3 641.88448 terabytes (TB) of data have been uploaded to the Cloud by SkyDrive users. That’s 4,004,294,335,813,908 bytes, according to Microsoft, with the volume expanding constantly. Expect the figure to virtually explode once Windows 8 launches, because of the tight integration of SkyDrive into the new OS.

The right candidate for this job has a broad strategic perspective AND loves getting into the details of technical specification. Key responsibilities will include aggregating requirements from various teams (Live, Phone, Windows, etc.) and building a technical solution that optimizes for the best user experience.
