Who knew? And apparently some lucky software testers and program managers can even start working for Bing AutoPilot.
The AutoPilot team is building its next generation platform to provide better dynamic capacity scaling, reduced geo latencies, broader data platform and higher availability. We are building features such as dynamic resource allocation, automatic failure detection/recovery, software load balancing, virtual drive and more! The platform will manage tens of thousands of application nodes in a very efficient manner across datacenters around the globe. Our goal is to onboard other customers such as Advertising platform and MSN. This is a terrific opportunity for a seasoned test leader to join a team whose mission is expanding significantly.
Autopilot is the foundation infrastructure used by the Bing search engine for managing servers, network switches and routers, and other infrastructure devices like managed power units and serial concentrators. All of Bing runs on equipment in datacenters which the Autopilot team manages. The Autopilot team manages the entire lifecycle of servers and infrastructure equipment – from bringing them online to replacing them when they reach end-of-life.
